In the wake of recent retrospective analysis of now-celebrated feminist classics (read Jennifer's Body)—which in turn is part of the ripple effect of the #MeToo Movement—I decided to revisit a piece from my Communications class way back when I was a freshman in UP: patriot and martyr Manuel E. Arguilla's Midsummer, a short story about two distinct characters and "the powers of attraction and gravitation that exist between two strangers".
